Jesus Heals
Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering." (Mark 5:34, NIV)
Jesus Makes People Well!
Have you ever had a tummy ache? Or maybe a scraped knee? It doesn't feel very good, does it? Sometimes, people get really sick, and they need help to feel better. Long, long ago, when Jesus walked on the earth, he helped a lot of people who were sick.
One day, a lady was very, very sick. She had been sick for a long time, and no one could help her. She had heard about Jesus and how he could make people well. She thought, "If I could just touch his clothes, I know I would be healed!"
So, she went into a big crowd of people, and she reached out and touched the edge of Jesus's cloak. Right away, she felt better!
Jesus knew that someone had touched him, and he turned around. He saw the lady, and he said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering." (Mark 5:34, NIV)
What Does That Mean?
Faith: The lady believed that Jesus could make her well. She trusted Him. Faith is like believing in something even when you can't see it.
Healed. Jesus made her body feel better. He took away her sickness.
Go in peace. Jesus wanted her to feel happy and safe. He wanted her to know that she was loved.
Freed from suffering. The lady had been hurting for a long time. Jesus took away her pain.
Jesus's Special Power
Jesus has a special power to make people well. He loves us so much that he wants us to be happy and healthy. Jesus doesn't just heal bodies. He also heals our hearts when we are sad or scared.
How Can We Have Faith?
- We can talk to God in prayer and tell him how we feel.
- We can read stories about Jesus in the Bible.
- We can trust that Jesus loves us and wants what is best for us.

Jesus wants us to know that he is always there for us, and he can help us with anything.

Dear Jesus,
Thank you for your special power to heal people. Please help us to have faith in you, just like the lady in the story. When we are sick or sad, please help us to remember that you love us and want us to feel better. Help us to trust you always.
