Today’s Scripture
Lamentations 3:22-23 (ESV) - "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."
Reflection
Happy New Year! It's a brand new start, a fresh beginning. And you know what that means? Brand new mercies from our faithful God!
Think about that for a moment. No matter what yesterday held – maybe it was a year of triumphs, maybe a year of challenges, maybe a mix of both – God's mercies are fresh and abundant this morning. Just like the sunrise, His love dawns anew, ready to meet us right where we are.
This verse comes from the book of Lamentations. Can you imagine? Even in the midst of deep sorrow and national loss, the writer could still grasp onto this incredible truth: God's love is steadfast, His compassion never runs dry.
How much more, then, can we, as His beloved children, cling to this promise today? As we step into this new year, let's leave behind any regrets, any burdens, any worries from the past. God's mercies are new, and in His grace, we can step forward with hope and confidence.
Declaration
I am starting this year with a clean slate, embraced by God's unending love.
God's mercies are new every morning, and I receive them with gratitude.
I trust in God's faithfulness to guide and provide for me this year.

Prayer
"Dear God, thank you for your steadfast love and your fresh mercies that greet me this morning. Help me to walk in your grace today, to be a good steward of all you've given me, and to be a reflection of your love to everyone I encounter. Amen."
