"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God." - Matthew 5:9
Isn't that amazing? Imagine, God Himself calling us His children! But what does it actually mean to be a peacemaker?
Well, think about those people who always seem to brighten up a room. They're kind, they share their toys, and they always try to help. They're like little sunshine beams, making everyone around them feel happy. Those are the peacemakers!
Jesus himself was the greatest peacemaker.
He taught us to love everyone, even those who are different from us. He showed us how to forgive, even when it's hard. And He always treated everyone with kindness and respect.
When we try to make things peaceful and happy – like sharing our toys, saying kind words, and helping someone who's feeling sad – we're following Jesus' example. We're showing everyone that we care, just like God cares about us.
And the best part? When we try to be peacemakers, God calls us His children! That's a pretty awesome title, don't you think?
A Prayer for Little Hearts
Dear God, Please help me to be a peacemaker, just like Jesus. Help me to be kind to everyone and to always try to make others happy. Amen.
